Finding a Great Idea
Not sure what to write about or where to start? Learn how to define your story and stand out to admissions boards. Join us to generate several knock-out ideas for your college essays and supplements. We’ll walk you through what makes a good idea good and a not-so-good idea not-so-good. You’ll leave with a list of possible essay ideas and resources for even more!
HOW SHOULD IT SOUND?: College Essay Style
What should a college essay look and sound like? Get a close-up look at how to start your essay, how to structure it, what style to follow, what to include and more. We’ll walk you through an annotated exemplar essay that got a former student into several top-tier universities. Leave with a digital packet of exemplar essays and lots of ideas for how to make your essay just as stand-out!

Once you get a draft out, learn revision techniques to feel confident that it’s strong enough to show admissions boards just how amazing you are! Join us to learn what to look for as you perfect your essay. Leave with a revision checklist as well as strategies to apply to your draft, ensuring that you submit your very best work.
